Hello all,
I hope you are well! As Director of Education and Partnerships at Middlesbrough Council I believe today is a great opportunity for me to give thanks to the wonderful teachers we have in Middlesbrough.
Our school staff have coped incredibly well through the past year or so, and have had to overcome so much. You have shown true Middlesbrough spirit, by demonstrating a tireless determination to show Middlesbrough Children that they Matter.
I’m sure we all have memories from school about teachers that made us feel like we belonged. Teachers that boosted our self-esteem. Teachers that introduced us to new ways of working something out when we were struggling. Teachers that showed us care and compassion. Teachers that raised our aspirations and believed in us. Teachers that showed us that we matter!
If you have memories like these, please share them today, be that with friends or family, or by sharing your experiences on social media using the hashtag #NationalThankATeacherDay.
I want to say a personal thank you to all of our school staff in Middlesbrough. I’m proud to work alongside you, keep up the great work!
Thanks,
Rob Brown
